Venue & Outdoor Policy
- Access: The Client is responsible for ensuring the venue allows balloon decor and provides access at the agreed-upon setup time.
- Outdoor Events: Balloons are sensitive to heat, wind, and sun. Bon Bon Balloons is not responsible for balloons popping or oxidizing (turning matte) once they are installed outdoors.
- Rentals: All backdrops, numbers, letters, weights, stands, flowers etc., that have been provided by Bon Bon Balloons (collectively known as “décor) are the property of Bon Bon Balloons and must be returned in original condition.
- Safety: Balloons are a choking hazard. Children should be supervised at all times.
Poppage & Maintenance Clause
Bon Bon Balloons uses only the highest quality professional-grade balloons. However, due to the fragile nature of balloons, Bon Bon Balloons is not responsible for any popping, deflation, or damage once the installation is complete and Bon Bon Balloons has left the premises. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by:
- Rough handling by guests or children.
- Contact with sharp objects, hot lights, or rough surfaces (e.g., brick, stucco).
- Extreme weather conditions (high heat, wind, or rain).
- Placement near air conditioning vents or heaters. Note: If a "poppage" occurs during the setup process, Bon Bon Balloons will replace the balloon(s) at no extra cost.
Oxidation & Environmental Disclosure
The Client acknowledges that balloons are perishable products. When placed outdoors or in direct sunlight, balloons will undergo a process called Oxidation. This results in a "matte" or "velvety" finish as the latex reacts to oxygen and UV rays.
- Darker Colors: Will absorb heat faster and are more prone to popping in direct sun.
- Longevity: Outdoor balloon decor is temporary by nature. While we take every precaution to ensure stability, we cannot guarantee the lifespan of outdoor decor beyond the completion of the installation.
- The "Matte" Look: Oxidation is a natural chemical process and is not considered a defect in the product.
Helium Policy & Safety Disclosure
- Latex Float Time & Expectations: Standard 11-inch latex balloons typically have a float time of 8 to 10 hours when filled with helium. We treat all latex balloons with Hi-Float (a specialized interior sealant), this can extend float time significantly in climate-controlled indoor environments. Please note that these times are estimates; float life can be significantly reduced by environmental factors such as high humidity, direct sunlight, or proximity to air conditioning vents and heaters. To ensure maximum buoyancy and aesthetic appeal, Bon Bon Balloons recommends inflating and installing latex balloons as close to the event start time as possible. Bon Bon Balloons is not responsible for float-time variations due to venue conditions, late-night temperature drops or outdoor weather.
- Performance Disclaimer: Helium is sensitive to temperature. In cold environments, helium shrinks, which may cause balloons to appear "deflated." In hot environments, helium expands, which may cause balloons to pop. If your balloon appears to be “deflating” in cold temperature, the balloon will spring back up when returned to warmer temperature.
- Inhalation Hazard: WARNING: Inhaling helium is extremely dangerous and can result in asphyxiation, dizziness, or permanent injury. The Client agrees to ensure that guests do not inhale the helium from the balloons. Bon Bon Balloons is not liable for any injuries or accidents resulting from the misuse or inhalation of helium.
- Safe Disposal: The Client agrees not to intentionally release helium balloons into the atmosphere. At the end of the event, balloons should be popped and disposed of in a trash receptacle to protect local wildlife and the environment.
- Market Pricing & Availability: Helium is a naturally occurring resource with a fluctuating global supply. The Service Provider reserves the right to adjust the final invoice or suggest an air-filled design alternative if there is a significant price increase (over 10%) or a shortage of helium between the time of booking and the event date. The Client will be notified immediately of any such changes.
Confetti-Filled Balloon Policy
- Reduced Float Time: The Client acknowledges that the additional weight of confetti reduces the buoyancy of the balloon. Therefore, confetti-filled latex balloons have a significantly shorter float time (typically 5–8 hours) compared to standard latex balloons. For best results, these should be inflated as close to the event start time as possible.
- Pop & Clean-up Liability: In the event that a confetti balloon pops, Bon Bon Balloons is not responsible for the cleanup of the confetti. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure the venue allows confetti balloons and to manage any cleaning fees associated with popped balloons.
